Teaching Themes

Each teaching video is presented by Martin Charlesworth. Following each session, time is specifically allocated to discussion and feedback led by a local facilitator. In this way Into The Word provides significant learning opportunities and focus on important or challenging issues which we all face in understanding the bible. The themes for the course are as follows:

• The calling and shaping of Israel
• The unfolding story of Israel
• Old Testament ‘wisdom’
• The Old Testament Prophets
• The Gospels – part one
• The Gospels – part two
• Acts – the early church in action
• The New Testament letters
• The book of Revelation

The course looks at the key skills for getting the most out of the Bible; essentially, we will identify how the Bible fits together and how we understand the use of different books. Therefore, ‘Into the Word’ is designed to help you on the journey of being fully equipped in using the Bible. It will be hands-on learning: with presentations, discussions and application.
